Rey before Disney

As you know, movies are planned years before they are shown. They were planning the new Star Wars movies much before Disney purchased the franchise and they were planning on going in another direction. This was during the success of Game of Thrones that had a lot of explicit nudity and it seemed to be the trend of the times.

That’s why some of the early scripts and preparations were for a more explicit version of Star Wars but of course that was changed after Disney purchased the franchise.

Daisy Ridley was cast early on as Rey. Based on that cast, they made the following concept art for how they envisioned the character.

Based on this vision, they had several test shoots before even writing the script and here is one of them, experimenting with a costume that was coming apart and creating some casual nudity.

Nudity was not the only thing they had planned. They also had Rey fighting a worm monster, perhaps inspired by japanese cartoons.

As a defence mechanism, much like Jurassic Park, it would spit out a slow-working poison. There was some agreement at the time that they were hoping for some exciting situations and photos caused by this poison. Here is one of those photos:

There were also talk of repeating one of the most famous erotic scenes in Star Wars history. The golden bikini. For that reason, several test shots were taken of Rey in the golden bikini.

Finally, just as it was in Game of Thrones, there would be several sex scenes. Of course, these were not in the final film or even in the script, but they had to be well-prepared and had to prepare some test shots of this as well.

Despite the test shots being successful, they eventually decided to scrap the erotic elements after Disney bought Lucasfilm.

You may be shocked that they even considered this kind of material for the Star Wars universe, but thats only because you forgot that they did the exact same thing back in the first 3 movies when they were unsure about the eventual success of the movies.

Here is one such example of Princess Leia that was shot but edited out of the movie.
