You may recognize this picture – it was the one that changed the world cheerleading from that day forward.

This picture went from mailbox to mailbox and through all of the world’s social networking sites to huge embarrasment to the girl – but there was an upshot. The team she represented (USC, United States of Canada) gained great fame and through all the publicity, got lots of great new players and won the local league for almost 2 years in a row.
This is how Cindy Dickinson got the idea to stage this picture.

Her team, the “Yellowblue Wagtails”, was expecting the same thing to happen. It sort of did, except no one recognized them and the “Blue Babooons” (yes, that’s 3 o’s) took credit for the marketing stunt and got all the attention and all the greatest players.
Although the campaign failed for the Wagtails, it showed that the overall concept worked. That’s why the archery team “Bow Beagles” introduced a campaign featuring one of their cheerleaders in some unusual marketing material.

By the way, notice that the writing of the “Bow Beagles” is partly hidden because much of the writing is on the back of their cheerleader uniforms. But of course you all know that, this was the day where the “Bow Beagles” became one of the most famous archery teams in the northwestern region of this now-famous east-alaskan archery team.
